| Technical purpose of product or process | "The profiles of the HT160S ALL.CO series are made by extrusion in aluminum alloy EN AW 6060 (UNI EN 573-3 and UNI EN 755-2) with supply status T6 (UNI EN 515), with thicknesses and dimensional tolerances in accordance with the UNI EN 12020-2 standard. The thermal break of the profiles is obtained by means of 30/32 mm bars in low lambda polyamide PA66GF25 reinforced with 25% glass fibers. The assembly of the latter with the aluminium profiles is carried out by computerised mechanical rolling to ensure a sliding resistance of more than 2.4 daN/mm. Assembly is done by means of 45° cuts and joints. The fixed frame has a depth of 160 mm, two-way track, while the movable sash has a depth of 70 mm. The middle knot has a width of 105 mm, while the side knot has a width of 129.3 mm. The assembly of the profiles takes place by means of push-button die-cast aluminium brackets. The protection and finishing of aluminium profiles can be carried out by anodizing with a minimum thickness of 15 microns (UNI 10681), or by powder coating with thermosetting polyesters cured in an oven at a temperature between 185 °C and 195 °C with a maximum residence time of 20 minutes. Application area: Thermal break aluminium profiles applied in the building sector. " ALL.CO HT160S – mill-finished ALL.CO HT160S – painted ALL.CO HT160S– anodized |
| General comment on data set | 1 kg of aluminium profile The validity period of the Managed LCA Content database used is between 2018 and 2023. Most of the information (use of raw materials, energy and water consumption, pollutant emissions and dust production) is measured or calculated directly at company level and declared in the official company documentation. The overall quality of the data can be considered good. "The allocation criteria are based on mass and comply with the provisions of standard EN 15804+A2: · foundry data is based on an annual average allocated to total production; · total annual energy consumption has been allocated considering the different production areas; · for painting, annual average data has been used and the allocation has been based on primary aluminium input; · for extrusion and thermal cutting, specific data relating to billets were used, while all other flows were considered as annual averages; · specific billet data were used for extrusion and thermal breaking, while all other flows were considered as annual averages; · for the extrusion process, all data are allocated to the extruded profiles produced, while the auxiliaries are allocated to the incoming billets." "All processes involved in production were taken into account in the study. These include the production of raw materials, electricity and the direct generation of waste from production. In addition, all material and energy flows (even those with a share of less than 1% of the total mass/energy) were considered. It can be concluded that the total sum of neglected material streams does not exceed 5% of mass, energy or environmental relevance. The impacts generated by machinery and infrastructures (in compliance with the ISO14040/44 standard) have been excluded from the boundaries of the system." |
