Technical purpose of product or process Thermal insulation panel made of rigid, closed-cell PIR foam, expanded between two supports. For Construction application. POLIISO® TEGOLA sp. 60 mm, 80 mm,100 mm,120 mm,140 mm.
General comment on data set 1 m2 of expanded polyurethane panel Primary and site-specific data (bills of materials, component weights, energy consumption, waste generation, emissions) were provided by Ediltec Insulation Spa with reference to the year 2021. For other data (e.g. transport models and component raw material models) secondary/generic data from the Ecoinvent 3.9.1 database were used. Proxies were used for the composition of some of the raw material inputs, weighing less than 5 %. The impact allocation procedure for recycling follows the ‘LCA Cut-off by classification’ model where impacts are directly assigned to the product generating them. In accordance with the cut-off rules stated in the product-specific requirements, the following exclusions were made from the system boundaries: - Capital goods such as buildings, machinery, tools and infrastructure; - Packaging for internal transport; - General administrative activities (business travel, marketing and advertising etc.) that cannot be allocated directly to the production of the relevant product; - Production, use and disposal of component and semi-finished intermediate packaging; - Constituent materials whose total mass does not exceed 1% of the total weight of the product;

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
