Use advice for data set cradle to gate with options: A1, A2, A3, A4, C1, C2, C3, C4, D
Technical purpose of product or process Hot rolled reinforcing steel for concrete in bars and coils Steel coming from post and pre consumer steel scraps produced in electric arc furnace route (EAF) and further hot rolling process
General comment on data set According to EN:15804, the declared unit is 1 ton of hot rolled product Data quality has been assessed and validated during data collection process. According to ISO 14040 and 14044, allocation is avoided whenever possible by dividing the system into subsystems. When allocation cannot be avoided physical properties are used to drive flow analysis. According to EN:15804 the applied cut-off criterion for mass and energy flows is 1%.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
