Technical purpose of product or process Quad cables with copper conductor and PVC insulation. Designed for use in control and monitoring systems, as well as auxiliary services in high-voltage (HV) electrical substations. Quad cables with a rated operating voltage of U0/U = 0.6 / 1 kV – Type FS17QOR16H1R16 cables FS17QR16H1R16NR16 2X2X 0,5 FS17QOR16H1R16 10X2X0,5 FS17QOR16H1R16 20X2X0,5 FS17QOR16H1R16 30X2X0,5
General comment on data set 1 km of quad cables with a rated operating voltage of U0/U = 0.6 / 1 kV. The cables are of FS17QOR16H1R16 type, featuring a reference service life (RSL) of 40 years and a current-carrying capacity of 1 A. "The site-specific data for the cable production phase refer to the year 2024 and were provided by Tratos Cavi S.p.A. Upstream and downstream processes were modelled based on data from the Ecoinvent 3.11 database. The quality of the primary data is assessed as very good, while the quality of the secondary data is considered good." mass-based The packaging of raw materials and finished products, methane consumption for heating, infrastructures, and business travel are excluded.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
